Christophe Corazza is currently pursuing a PhD in nuclear engineering: reactor particle physics. Christophe obtained his Master's degree in nuclear engineering with a focus on reactor particle physics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Prior to this, he earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in chemical engineering, as well as a Master's degree in civil engineering. He is currently pursuing his PhD in nuclear engineering at the KU Leuven university, in collaboration with the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK CEN, related to the engineering and development of future generation nuclear reactor systems. His PhD research is part of Euratom’s Horizon project, which aims to tackle climate change, help achieve the UN’s energy Sustainable Development Goals, and boost the EU’s competitiveness and growth.

Professional Contributions

Christophe is an active member of the core group steering committee of the Belgian Nuclear Society BNS-YG and has served as a delegate at the United Nations on several occasions related to nuclear policies. He is also a member of the scientific council, contributing to the development and steering of nuclear energy initiatives.

Strijdpunten: Naast het ijveren voor een evenwichtige en duurzame energiemix wil Christophe blijven investeren in onderzoek en ontwikkeling om de energieproblematiek aan te pakken. Vanuit zijn huidige functie vindt hij een focus op het lerarentekort, de onderwijskwaliteit en de digitalisering in het onderwijs ook belangrijke aandachtspunten die de Belgische economie ten goede komen.
